Once while traveling in a train Vikramaditya finds that all passengers in it have short life and the train will meet in an accident. He tries to save them but in vain. Prerna starts to believe in his predictions and asks him to check her palm and collapses in his arms. Her uncle tells Adithya that Prerna is suffering from rare tumor and has few months to live. The story revolves around Krishna Pandit (Darshan Kumar), a JNU student, who thinks his parents were killed in an accident as told by his grandfather, Pushkar Nath (Anupam Kher). But the truth is more depressing. He is caught in the middle of two opposing narratives of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus of 1990. One side is represented by the pro-Azaadi JNU professor (Pallavi Joshi) who is gaining a lot of support on the campus for her Kashmir cause. On the other side is Nath, who has been struggling for 30 years to get justice for the exodus, which the professor claims is a sham. After Pushkar Naths death, Krishna goes back to Kashmir to fulfil his last wishes and also meets four of Naths friends, a journalist, a doctor, a former police officer, and a retired civil servant. They are shocked to know that Krishna didnt know the true story of his fathers death. The Kashmir Files then becomes a journey of discovering the truth for Krishna. In one among many traumatic scenes, Krishnas father, hiding in a container of rice, is killed by a local militant. His mother is forced to eat the blood-soaked rice from the same container.

Shiva and Isha go to save Anish at Varanasi where he tells him the events he saw but Junoon has already reached there to kill him but Anish manages to escape with Shiva and Isha with power of Nandiastra and asks them to take him to Guruji's Ashram in Himachal. On the way Anish finds who actually is Shiva and gives his piece of Brahmastra to Isha and asks her to reach it safely to Guruji as Junoon is following them who is unaware of Guruji's Ashram. Anish loses his life while fighting with Junoon and her men while after lot of hurdles Shiva and Isha reach Guruji's Ashram where Guruji reveals who actually Shiva is and his connection with fire. And that Brahmastra has three pieces of which one is missing and if Junoon joins them all together the universe will be destroyed.
